Ansuz is a collection of feminist fairy tales from the periphery that casts a mystical trilingual spell. It was born in the space between languages and in the intersections of friendship, feminism, and a love for literature.
When Turkish writer Defne Çizakça and Argentine translator Erika Cosenza first met, back in 2018, they immediatly knew sooner or later they would create something together. Seven years later, as a part of the series «Voces del Ciempiés», they materialized this wish which, more than a dream, was a prophecy.
Ansuz is rooted in the desire for sharing stories that question the centre. Whether that centre be European, patriarchal, monolingual or hetero normative. Within these pages live Istanbulite witches, Icelandic ghosts, benevolent monsters from Chiloé, owls, cats, and a melancholy Iranian artist. We hope these fairy tales will enchant you.
Ansuz, periferinin büyülerini Türkçe, İngilizce ve İspanyolca derleyen bir masal kitabı. Arkadaşlık, feminizm ve edebiyat aşkının kesiştiği çok dilli kavşaklarda doğdu.
